On whom I work with and what opportunities compel me — I like being part of a jazz band. Jazz bands don't succeed by being paid the most of doing the most gigs. Jazz bands succeed by making the best art. I don't need to play for a billion people. I need to make art that teaches me something new about life and about the world every day. If I can do that with great people, that's where I will be.
